  • Engagement Week at RPS: New Hand Lettered Invitation Signage

On this, the second day of Engagement Week at Rock Paper Scissors, we're swooning over the latest hand-lettered masterpiece by Kristen Drozdowski. Kristen (or Kdroz, for short) is the in-house graphic designer at RPS. In addition to designing an array of awesome Michigan themed T-shirts, prints, and glassware for RPS (as well as her adorable card line), Kristen creates many of the special details behind some of our favorite RPS custom invitation suites. This week, we put her lettering skills to work on the chalkboard near the rear of the store, where a variety of our wedding invitations and save the dates are on display. • Wedding Wednesday: Molly & Patrick's Sweet Farm Wedding

The summer nuptials of Molly and Patrick were truly something special. Their celebration, held at Zingerman's Cornman Farms and planned by VLD Events, was absolutely beautiful, with sweet details that made the event all the more heartwarming. The team at Rock Paper Scissors created the pair's custom invitations and some extra fun day-of details, including a guest book, signage, menus, and incredible hand-lettered escort cards made from ears of corn! A big (albeit belated) congratulations to Molly and Patrick!  Thanks for having RPS be part of your special day! Below are some of our favorite photos from the event, shot by David Matthew Fiser. Ann Arbor Michigan Wedding corn place settings and surround seating We LOVE the way Molly and Patrick were surrounded by friends and loved ones as they said their vows. After the ceremony, guests were directed to the table of corn, where they used their eyes to find the ears lettered with their name and table number. Ann Arbor Michigan Wedding Ears of Corn and Cornfield Cornman Farm Molly and Patrick's invitation was simple yet sweet, with a color scheme and details that carried over into the dinner menus and signage throughout the event. Ann Arbor Michigan Wedding Summer at Cornman Farm Seriously, how cute are they!? Molly and Patrick said "I do" against the backdrop of the farmhouse at Cornman Farms, with musicians on the porch and their guests surrounding them. Their gorgeous guest book / keepsake marriage certificate had hundreds of spaces for witnesses, so that all the guests could sign! (We also love the look of the gray wood frame against the green color choices.) Ann Arbor Michigan Wedding Ears of Corn and Cornfield Cornman Farms Nothing says Midwest farm wedding like an ear of corn! The setting had plenty of corn to use as a gorgeous photo backdrop, which tied in perfectly to the ears of corn that served as escort cards for the dinner and reception. Each ear was hand lettered with love by RPS' in-house graphic designer and letterer extraordinaire, Kristen Drozdowski.
