Today we're celebrating a new dining option on Main Street - KouZina. KouZina opened in Ann Arbor this summer and serves fresh Greek food, fast. We were so excited to try KouZina and loved it's Chipotle-style service right away, plus the food is delicious! When you walk up to the counter there are lots of choices - gyros, rice bowls, salads, and plenty of sides like spinach pie and lentil soup. We've loved everything we've tried, but in our opinion the zesty feta dip with pita chips (fresh dough rolled, grilled, and fried to order) are a can't miss item.
The decor at KouZina is as fresh and fun as the food. Lots of custom art work adorns the walls and there's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. Check out the back patio if it's a nice day!
While KouZina is new to Ann Arbor, the Laskaris family who owns the restaurant are not new to the Greek food restaurant scene. Bobby Laskaris, the owner, opened the first KouZina location in Royal Oak, MI in 2012 and his father and inspiration Chef Panagiotis Laskaris worked for years in the Greektown area of Detroit. This family knows good Greek food and we're happy to have their new restaurant within walking distance of Rock Paper Scissors!
