Rock, Paper, Punchtags: Happy Holidays from RPS!
One of our favorite holiday traditions at Rock Paper Scissors, clearly, is sending holiday cards. This year, the lovely team at Ladyfingers Letterpress created a super custom, totally unique, die cut, letterpress and gold foiled holiday card, just for us! To create a play on our name, the team hand illustrated a rock (a diamond engagement ring), a paper tag and a pair of scissors. Each icon is die cut and perforated, creating a tag or an ornament that you can punch out and thread with festive red and white bakers twine, which is included in the card!
One of our favorite parts of the card is the amazing illustration of our home state, Michigan! The bright coral/red, the "Cheeseland" (representing Wisconsin, for any confused non-Midwesterners) and "Canada, eh" details and the stars (which showcase our permanent retail locations) really made this card special to us.
And the details keep on comin'. The lil' Mitten waving "hi" within our handlettered return address makes our heart skip a beat. Guys, the mitten is saying "hi" to you and yours this holiday season!
After soaking in the beauty that is Ladyfingers Letterpress, punch those bad boys out and place them on packages or hang them from your tree! With a recently engaged friend, I now have the perfect gift tag!
One of our in-house designers and letterer extraordinaire, Kristen Drozdowski, lettered some of the envelopes to send out the door.
