RPS Tailgates - Brunch

College football season is in full swing and we're loving it! With two days to go until the next football Saturday, let's talk about another easy and fun tailgate idea - brunch! Here in Ann Arbor, the Wolverines are scheduled for another noon kickoff which makes Saturday morning the perfect time for a brunch tailgate. The drink: Classic brunch beverages - bloody marys and mimosas are some of our favorites.  Coffee is a must have too - especially for chilly fall mornings. The food: Brunch makes a great tailgate theme because lots of food can be prepped well ahead of time, making the morning run smoother. Bagels, muffins, and donuts are always a hit. May we suggest that these store bought items look (and taste!?) much better when served on a beautiful Juliska or fun Coton Colors platter? We also like to serve up some protein to sustain everyone through the game with one of our favorite tailgate egg dishes. Check out this easy crowd-pleasing recipe! 12 large eggs 2 cups milk 1 lb breakfast sausage 1 16oz jar roasted red peppers, diced 1 6oz container crumbled feta cheese 1 tsp sea salt 1tsp ground black pepper Cook breakfast sausage, drain, and crumble. In a medium bowl, whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Stir in diced red peppers and feta cheese. Spread an even layer of the breakfast sausage across the bottom of a baking dish. Pour egg mixture over the sausage. Bake for 45 minutes at 375 degrees. We hope you have a wonderful football Saturday and that your team has a big win!
