Event on Main
There are a couple things we're super passionate about at RPS (outside of saving the handwritten note). One of the things we're really passionate about is being part of the Ann Arbor community. Ann Arbor is a special place filled with wonderful people, business, and a great University. The second, is the University of Michigan C. S. Mott Children's hospital. My daughter, Mattie, was born 5 years ago with a congenital heart disease. She was treated under the amazing care of Mott & the pediatric cardiology team. She had open heart surgery when she was 4 months old, and a stent placed when she was 3 years old. She is such a little fighter and thanks to C.S. Mott-- she's a Little Victor! When we learned about an opportunity to combine our love of the Ann Arbor community, especially our Main Street, and our love for C.S. Mott we JUMPED at the opportunity to get involved. This year we are showing our support for Mott and all of the Little Victors - by supporting the Event on Main.

The Event on Main is an annual event that began in 2010. For one night, a portion of Main Street is closed down for a beautiful celebration that includes live music, dancing, fantastic food, and lots of mingling. The Event on Main is a true celebration of all the fundraising that has been done in the months leading up to now. This year's beneficiary of the Event is the Charles Woodson Clinical Research Fund. This Fund equips U of M's physician-scientists with the resources necessary to push boundaries in the fight against some of the most devastating childhood conditions and diseases- including technologies surrounding pediatric cardiology- our passion.
Rock Paper Scissors is proud to be an In-Kind Sponsor of Event on Main this year and we are SO thankful for all of the doctors, researchers, nurses, and staff at Mott. As the mom of Mattie, I'm more than proud, I'm over the moon to be able to share my passion, excitement and gratitude for what a special place the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's hospital truly is. Interested in learning more or donating to this amazing event-- visit theventonmain.com !
