There's really no good way to say this amid all the Black Friday buzz, but I just want to take a moment to acknowledge that our thoughts are with our friends at Ladyfingers Letterpress in Colorado Springs this week, as well as any LGBTQIA+ people in our network who may have had their sense of safety shaken by the shooting at Q.
As with any brick and mortar small business owner still standing at this point (and it does feel like a dwindling, rag tag crew), my friends at Ladyfingers have already weathered their share of storms. I know that with all of our support they will weather this one too, and continue to be a beacon of inclusivity and creativity in their community. I'm also sure that that community will be changed forever. For this, our hearts are with you.
If you value small businesses, like theirs, or like mine, as places that enrich the communities you live in, this is an especially important time of year to support them however you can. Whether you redirect some of your big box holiday shopping, or you just like and share posts, every little bit of support matters. As small business owners, we see it, and we're so thankful.
I started this "Thankful" sale in 2020 just to let you know that I appreciated all the love and support as we moved RPS 100% online (woof, 0/10, do not recommend). You know what?! It's 2022, sh*t's still hard, we're still getting through, and I'M STILL THANKFUL! So let's keep the tradition rolling! With gratitude,
