What Is Stationery Store Day?

Stationery Store Day is an annual celebration of independent stationery stores held on the first Saturday in August. Inspired by events like Record Store Day and Independent Bookstore Day, it encourages people to discover and support the specialty paper shops that bring creativity, connection, and beautiful design to their communities. The event was founded by stationery store owner Kristina Burkey and has grown into an international celebration of paper-loving small businesses.

Today, participating stationery stores across the United States and beyond celebrate with exclusive merchandise, special promotions, giveaways, events, and community activities.

For us, Stationery Store Day is about celebrating everything we love: greeting cards, notebooks, journals, pens, paper goods, creativity, and the people who appreciate them.

What Is Ann Arbor Pride

Ann Arbor Pride is one of Michigan's longest-running LGBTQ+ celebrations. First held in 1995, the event brings together LGBTQ+ community members, allies, local businesses, artists, entertainers, and organizations for a day of celebration, visibility, and connection in Downtown Ann Arbor. The event is hosted by the Jim Toy Community Center, a cornerstone of LGBTQ+ advocacy and support in Washtenaw County.
